***THIS ITEM IS A PDF PATTERN ONLY. PATTERN WILL BE DELIVERED BY EMAIL WITHIN 48 HOURS OF PAYMENT RECEIPT (usually less than 24, but things happen sometimes). Purchase includes pattern support: I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the pattern, and should any errata be discovered I will email you to offer you the opportunity to receive a corrected PDF (the corrected PDF will be gratis, but I won't just send you a file -- you'll have to confirm that you want it). Pattern has been test-knitted by multiple knitters.***
Columns of vine-like ribbing are interspersed with leaf-like lace insets and eyelets reminiscent of berries ripe for plucking. A beautiful lacey sock appropriate for cool spring evenings and climate-controlled summer venues. This lace pattern offers enough detail to keep you from being bored during knitting, but is easy enough to memorize and "read" that you need not bring your pattern along everywhere you go.
Finished size: Women's medium size foot (size 7-9 shoe)
Gauge: 7.5 st = 1” in stockinette
Materials:
- 350yds heavy fingering weight sock yarn (suggested yarns include Fleece Artist Sea Wool and Schaefer Heather) (Note that yardage is approximate – because these are toe up socks, you can easily make them a little shorter or a little longer depending on how much yarn you have.)
- 2.75mm needles or size needed to obtain correct gauge (You will need needles to accommodate your preferred method of working a small circular circumference – I used Magic Loop, but DPNs or two circs will work fine. Pattern includes notes when there are specifics depending on which method you're using.)
Notes and Tips:
- Socks are worked from the toe up.
- Heels are “afterthought” which means you need to remember to reserve yarn for them. Alternatively, you can plan to use a coordinating or contrasting yarn for the heels, should you wish.
- If you particularly favor another heel or toe method, feel free to substitute. Just be aware of stitch counts – you'll need to make sure you're working with the correct number of stitches when you resume the pattern.
