Profiled!
Check me out -- I'm a Recession Concession profile over at Recessionwire.com. The site is one I found purely by chance when checking the weather one morning a few weeks ago. I love it a lot, because it gives me something every day that makes me feel like I'm not alone in this wretched laid-off, looking rather desperately for a job place that I'm in right now.Speaking of, the 2nd interview today went well, I think. One of the people was videoconferenced in, so that made it a little difficult to tell, but they did tell me at the end of the interview that I was on the short list of three candidates, and the first of the follow-up interviews they were doing. We also discussed some of the things I would have to do as prerequisites to employment (background check, drug test) -- having been on the other side of the table, these are not the sorts of things I would mention to someone who was definitely not going to get the job. So, fingers crossed. The more I hear about the position, the more excited I am about it, and the company sounds like a great place to work -- very similar in atmosphere to Tutor, which I would absolutely love.

You know, when you come to visit us, I would be delighted to share my yarn stash. I kinda crochet, but my mom sent me a metric ton of yarn when a store near her in AL went out of business. It is not super expensive or cool, but you might get more use out of it than I do. :-)
